Have known Gary and Betty since arriving in Laurel in 2002. Gary was the same fine and friendly gentleman every time we met. Whether at Walmart or some function, he would not hesitate to say Hi, chat before leaving. Sincere and genuine, one of a kind. We will sorely miss him. Prayers for Betty and the family.

I am so saddened to read of Rep. Staples' passing. When I visited the Legislature on behalf of the USM DuBard School for Language Disorders, it was always a pleasure to see Rep. Staples and work with him on behalf of children from his area. He was a respected and admired presence in the Capitol. I send my deepest sympathies and prayers to his family.
