Alpha Wilson, 91 of Laurel, MS passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her residence in Laurel, MS. She was born Thursday, February 18, 1932 in Stringer, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. The burial will then take place in Holder Cemetery in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Bro. Brandon Wilson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Versie Stephens; brother, Jarvis Stephens; sisters, Ava Merle Graham and Ina Mckenzie; son-in-law, Ronald Jenkins.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, James Wilson; sons, Jimmy Wilson (Jill Butler) and Johnny Wilson (Rebecca); daughters, Judy Jenkins and Janie Johnson; brothers, Charles Stephens; grandsons, Joshua Johnson, Glenn Wilson, Curtis Wilson (Sandy) and John Wilson (Shelly); granddaughters, Kimberly Conover, Christina Hankins and Marcia Wilson; 13 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kamron McCraw, Josh Johnson, Mark Hankins, Rusty Wilson, Jodie Wilson, and Aaron Knotts.
