Aubrey Lee Gardner, 81 of Laurel, MS passed away peacefully Saturday, November 4, 2023, at home surrounded by his family in Laurel, MS. He was born Wednesday, September 9, 1942, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 12:30PM until 2:00PM at Bethlehem Community Church 849 Lake Como Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 2:00PM at Bethlehem Community Church in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Community Church Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Bro. Jamie Altman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

Aubrey was a lifelong member of West Laurel Baptist Church. He was a salesman by trade. He retired from Phillips Building Supply. Aubrey enjoyed fishing, hunting and family gatherings but most of all he loved traveling with the love of his life Sylvia and their life long friends, Howard and Patsy Robertson. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time at home with family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph A. Gardner; mother, Maudie Lee Hancock Gardner; sister, Sara J. Adams.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Smith Gardner; son, Dane Allen Gardner (Rhonda); daughter, Lorri Ann Reeves (Terry); grandchildren, Wesley Reeves (Shay), Lance Reeves, Shelby Gardner and Kristina Scarbrough (Obrie); brother, Joseph Randy Gardner (Kathy); great grandchildren, Arianna Reeves, Liam Reeves and Rory Matthew Reeves.

Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Jonathon Cosper, Zane Cosper, Mark Johnson, Mike Ishee, and Lance Reeves.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Reeves.
