Obituary

Audie Helen Walker, 82 of Heidelberg passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at her residence. She was born on April 1, 1941 in Philadelphia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in MacFarland Cemetery in Heidelberg. Bro. Hugh Acton will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

Helen lived everywhere and loved everywhere she lived. She put her family first and crafts second. She was involved in the lives of her grandchildren and innumerable great-grandchildren. Helen was truly a blessing to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bilbo Creekmore and Fannie Beason Creekmore; and her sister, Margaret Frances Creekmore.

Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Walker; son, Anthony Delk (Diane); daughter, Debora Kay Dykes (Robert); sister, Sarah Toomer; grandsons, Bryan Delk and D.J.  Todd (Jordan); granddaughters, Breeona Jones (Justin), Kay`ce Everett (J.T.) and Kimberly Hodges (Zach); great-grandchildren, Curtis Delk, Hollyn Todd, Riley Todd, Addie Hodges, Lexy Jones, G.W. Hodges, Henson Everett, Harvey Everett, and Braleigh Jones.

Pallbearers will be Robert Dykes, J.T. Everett, D.J. Todd, Gary Parker, and Vern Reeves.

Honorary pallbearer will be Johnathon Smith.
