Ben Ray Reeves passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 in Laurel, Mississippi at 71 years old.

Ben was a living testament that love can change the heart of a man and believed without doubt that God is love and surrendered to His mercy and grace.

Known as "Bear" by those close to him, Ben was a student of the Holy Bible and was often sought by his peers to discuss topics concerning faith. He wrote numerous extra-biblical works including, "Man's Battlefield" and authored numerous short stories including his personal favorite, "Hanna." He had many questions for God and we find comfort knowing those questions have now been answered.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 4:30pm at Christian Life Church. The family welcomes stories and memories from Ben's life. The service will be officiated by his sons and Pastor Rayborn Huff. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Reeves and father, Douglas Lamar Reeves.

Ben is survived by his mother, Betty Reeves, brother Douglas Reeves (Debra), sister Patricia Reeves, sons Tony Reeves (Catherine), Jared Reeves, and Lance Huff, daughter Kellye Huff, as well as numerous grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Reeves, Jared Reeves, Lance Huff, Allen Hedrick, Jason Lovett and Stephen Johnson.
