Berlin Ezra Valentine, Jr. "Junior", 62, of Gitano, born November 7, 1955, passed away December 25, 2017 at South Central Regional Medical Center. Junior was a hard working loving husband, father, and Pap. He was loved by all and all that met him called him friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berlin Ezra, Sr. and Ollie Smith Valentine, one sister, Judy Chesney; and a very special sister-in-law, Lena Gray Johnston. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Connie Gray Valentine; two daughters, Brooke Long (Chad) of Cookeville, TN and LeAnn McFarland (Dan) of Big Creek; one son, Ryan Valentine of Gitano; six grandchildren, Colin Long (Megan) and McCall Long of Cookeville, TN; Wyatt & Grayson McFarland of Big Creek, Hunter & Jax Valentine and their mother, Sabrina Valentine of Stringer; two very special great nephews, Cole and Cameron Johnston of Summerland; two brothers, Al Valentine (Kay) of Hurley and Lynn Valentine (Beckie) of Gitano, two sisters, Ann Valentine (Terry Don) and Cheryl Hinton (Ab), all of Soso; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Colonial Chapel of Laurel on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 AM with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Union Line Cemetery in Soso, MS. Bro. Eric Estes will officiate. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Greg Johnston, Jeff Yelverton, Allen Valentine, Daniel Valentine, David Valentine, Andy Chesney, Aron Chesney Tim Valentine, Mackenzie Parker, Macalister Parker, Michael Hinton, Dewayne Breland, Bill Valentine, James McGlothlin, Kenny Knight, Micheal Gray and Patrick Gray. Honorary Pallbearers will be his longtime friends and brothers: Lindsey Sims, Coburn Yelverton, Tink Hawkins, Jason Corley, Gary Russell, Ronnie Morgan, Joe Hulon, Terry Don Valentine, Al Valentine, Lynn Valentine, Tommy Johnston, George Parker and Ab Hinton.
