Betty Jane 'Janey' Voss, 81, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Born in Laurel, MS on April 18, 1944. Janey was raised in Laurel, MS, resided in Chalmette, LA, Baton Rouge, LA, and spent her remaining years in Laurel. Janey was a beloved member of her community.

She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Clarke Voss; her father, James Ira Flowers; her mother, Dorothy Aleene Steinwinder Flowers; her brother, Robert 'Buddy' Flowers; and her sisters, Sylvia 'Pete' McVey and Dorothy 'Anne' Sink.

Janey is survived by her son, Michael Voss and his spouse Morrie, as well as her grandchild, Michael Voss and his spouse Stephanie; family friends, the Wood family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Memorial services will follow at 11:00AM at the same location, with private burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.
