Billy Gene Broadway, Sr., 88, of Laurel, MS passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins, MS. He was born Thursday, November 14, 1935 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11:30AM at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, MS.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

Mr. Broadway served in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Billy worked for many years in the insurance industry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Artis B. Broadway (Alma); mother, Selma H. White; and brother, Lenis R. Broadway.

Survivors include his son, Billy G. Broadway, Jr. (Glynis); daughter, P. Jeanene Willcox (Alan); and grandchildren, Ava M. Willcox, Alexandra G. Willcox and Audrey E. Willcox.

Pallbearers will be his family -- Billy Broadway Jr, Alan Willcox -- and friends.
