He is proceeded in death by his father John Cochran, mother Corine Busby Cochran, grandson Rubin Cochran, brother Jimmy Cochran, brother Perry Cochran.

Survivors includes his sons Billy Ray Cochran Jr., Nicholas Cochran (Dianna), Nathan Cochran (Ashley) and daughter Sabra Cochran. Nine grandchildren Whitney, Adam, Madison, Austin, Destiny, Lindsey, Zachary, Shawn, Tyler, and Levi. Six great grandchildren Kuper, kameron, Kyndall, Karson, Lane. Nirvana. Brother John Cochran Jr. Sisters Marylee Lamey and Carolyn Cochran and a host of nieces and nephews
