Bobby Joe Knotts, 81, of Laurel, MS passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Monday, June 15, 1942 in Seminary, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, October 05, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Covington County Mississippi. Bro. Glenn Shoemake will officiate. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Knotts; mother, Minnie Lee Goins Knotts; brother, Willie Knotts; sisters, Annie Loyce Williamson and Tommie Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Alice Rae Ishee Knotts; sons, Teddy Knotts (Kathy) and Tracy Knotts; daughter, Teressa Fite (Chuck); sister, Gladys Bullock; grandsons, Tyler Fite, Kevin Knotts and Johnathan Knotts; granddaughters, Jaqueline Parris (Justin) and Rhonda Stidd (Andrew), as well as 8 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Wright, Justin Goins, Scott Pipkins, Bobo Pipkins, Tony Wright, and Rhett Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Pipkins, Larry Dykes, Tyler Fite, and Kevin Knotts.
