Bobby Ray Russell, Sr., 81, of Laurel, MS passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Monday, September 20, 1943 in Stringer, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS, with funeral services 2:00 PM Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Andrew Russell and Lona Clark Russell; his brothers, Tillman Russell, and Sam Russell; and his sister, Eunice Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Russell; his son, Bobby Ray Russell, Jr. (Robin); his daughter, Donna Jean Jones (Chris); his grandchildren, Krista Jones, Shannon Jones, Malcolm Russell (Maddy) and Brandon Russell; his brother, Marvin Russell (Dorothy); his sister, Anneice Burke (Pat); and his great grandchildren, Kaden Brooks, Bentley Brooks, Dalton Harris, Lexus Jones, Camry Jones, Adrian Jones and Ryder Jones.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Jones, Kaden Brooks, Dalton Harris, Malcolm Russell, Brandon Russell, and Andy Russell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Ulmer, Mitchell Ulmer, Randy Ulmer, Tim Russell, Steve Clark, and Joe Jernigan.
