Brian Hilton Matthews, 53, of Laurel, Mississippi, Passed away Sunday September 12, 2021, at his residences in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Monday, October 30, 1967 in Bay Springs, Mississippi to Hilton and Evelyn Matthews.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday September 25, 2021 in Matthews Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342.

He was preceded in death by father, Hilton Matthews and brother in-law, Danny Newsome.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Matthews; children, Shane Matthews, Macalla Matthews, Magan Matthews, Michael Matthews, and Payton Matthews; sisters, Sybil Atwood (Bo), and Susan Newsome; nieces, Stephanie Jordan (Pat), and Kim Lee; great nieces and nephews, Kayla, Virginia, Robert Jordan and Trinity Lee.
