Carl Luther Moss, 74, of Big Creek, MS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2026, at Diversicare of Meridian, MS. He was born on January 22, 1952, in Laurel, MS.

Carl retired from Masonite for many years. He loved to sit outside and just watch what’s happening in his part of the world. Carl was a unique individual and will be greatly missed by the ones who loved and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Diane Moss; parents George “G.W.” and Waltraude Loni Moss; sister, Nancy Moss Jefcoat.

He is survived by his family, including his son, David Moss (Cydnee); daughter, Renee Moss; brother, George J. Moss (Anna), and a niece, nephew, cousins and other friends that loved and cared for him.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 2:00PM at Matthews Cemetery in Laurel, MS with burial to follow. Brother Dave Moran will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, MS.
