Carolyn Sue Gibson, 83, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Born on Tuesday, September 15, 1942, in Laurel, Mississippi, Carolyn lived a life surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Preston Webber Holloway, her mother, Kathryn Houston Holloway, and her sister, Judy Evans. Sue is survived by her sister, Janet Hyatt, and her nephew, Daniel Hyatt (Krista). She also leaves behind her nieces, Melinda McLeroy (Rory), Pam Frazier (Steve), Mary Garcia (David), Martha Boone (Jessie), Maxine Evans, and a host of great and great nieces and nephews.
