Charles J. Temple, 87, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Pine View Health and Rehab in Waynesboro, MS. Born on February 9, 1938, in Tula, Louisiana, Charles lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.

Charles served his country in the United States Navy. He retired after many years as a car salesman in Jones County and in his free time enjoyed spending time with his family and playing Golf.

He is survived by his sons, Jonas Temple and wife Kristin, Jason Temple, and Phillip Temple and wife Sabra. He was a proud grandfather to Charlie Temple, Lena Temple, Nora Temple, Alyssa Betz and husband Jordan, Lydia Temple, and Hayden Temple, and a great-grandfather to Aoife Betz, and a special cousin, Gerry Bauer.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Ruby White Temple, his brother Harold Lloyd "Pete" Temple, J.W. "Doc" Temple and his sisters Shirley McNair, Donna Miller, Lucille Bauer, Mona Faye Myrick and Geneva White.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the same location, with Bro. Jason Moye officiating. Burial will take place at Sharon Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.

Charles will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through his family and the memories they shared.
