Christine Ainsworth Blakeney, 88, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, July 31, 1930 in Smith County.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville in Taylorsville, Mississippi with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Sidney Davis, Bro. J.R. Hartfield, and Bro. Curtis Sullivan will officiate. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved to cook for people and was known as a person that never met a stranger. The joy of her life was her grands.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Blakeney,; her parents Loyd & Alma Ainsworth; siblings Helen Parker, Mary Perett, Charlene Hornick, Jesse Ray Ainsworth, Albert Ainsworth, and Son-in-law Michael Wayne Sullivan.

Survivors include her children Beth Sullivan of Taylorsville, Ray Blakeney and his wife Patricia of Taylorsville, Martha Thompson and her husband Bobby of Taylorsville, and Rhonda Kittrell (Roy) of State Line, one sister, Franklin Bush of Texas, 8 Grandchildren, and 11 Great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Russ Blakeney, Todd Blakeney, Jason Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Cody Thompson, Trevor Amason.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Amason, Dalton Blakeney, Jaxson Craft, Cutter Craft, Kaden Thompson, Karson Thompson, Jace Thompson, Conner Douglas, and Colby Douglas.
