Clyde Dwaine Holifield (May 19, 1946 - June 14, 2025) Clyde Dwaine Holifield, 79, of Laurel, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

He was born in Laurel, MS on May 19, 1946 to Clyde Eugene Holifield and Stella Mayoma Shoemake Holifield. Dwaine graduated from Glade High School in 1964 before going on to work as a welder.

Dwaine married his high school sweetheart, Sherille Ann Temple Holifield on June 26, 1964. He was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a man of few words, worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

Dwaine was dearly loved, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Dwaine was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Eugene Holifield; his mother, Stella Mayoma Shoemake Holifield; his brother, Danny Holifield, and his brother-in-law, Charlie Murphy.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sherille Ann Temple Holifield, his son, Kimble Holifield (DeAnna), and his daughter, Tara Holifield; his brother, Keith Holifield (Carolyn) and his sister, Dinah Murphy; six grandchildren: Blair Kelley(Kodey), Levi Smith, Dakota Lawson (Josh), Tori Mitchell (Trey), Jordan Ardoin (Matt), and Sydney Holifield; and eight great-grandchildren: Raylee, Chason, and Sadie Smith, Addie and Fletcher Kelley, Jovie Monroe Lawson, Hayes and Poppy Glenn Mitchell, and Callan Ardoin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Myrick, MS. Memorial service will follow at 3:00 P.M. Bro. Troy Rayner will officiate.
