Daniel Paul Sills, 47, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his residence. Born on July 28, 1977, in Flowood, Mississippi, Daniel was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his children, Hunter Sills and Hailey Sills; his mother, Brenda Faye Smith; his brother, Lee Sills; his aunt, Mary Harrison and her husband Ken; his uncles, Rick Sills and his wife Sue, and Ray Smith and his wife Vicky; and a special caregiver, Kadandra Hinton. Daniel also leaves behind special friends, Ronnie Lane and his wife Lilly, along with a host of cousins and friends who cherished him dearly.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Danny Lee Sills; his grandfathers, Francis Lee Sills and Edward C. Smith; and his grandmothers, Lavon Sills and Kathryn Smith.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church in Silver Creek, MS, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kenneth Harrison will officiate the services. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.

Pallbearers will include Larry Davis, Josh Grimes, Jack Ward, Billy Ray Jenkins, and Stanley Stephens, with Wayne Turnage and Ted Sutton serving as honorary pallbearers.

Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
