David Abel Merrell, 55, of Heidelberg, Mississippi, died Monday, December 2, 2019 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Monday, February 3, 1964 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in Laurel, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and the Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery in Heidelberg, MS. Bro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Morris and Vermell Viola Merrell, nephew, Kevin Donald Merrell.

Survivors include his daughter, Olivia Merrell and her mother, DeAnn Wiggins, brother, James Merrell (Mona), sister, Linda Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Bynum, Chris Williams, Steve Pugh, Kelly Pugh, and Billy Bonner.
