Debbie took great pleasure in serving her husband, L.G. and did so with excellence. She had a profound love of music and for the church. She served as keyboardist at Parkview Baptist Church alongside her special aunt, Judy Blackwell (Ken) in Laurel as well as First Baptist Church Liberty City in Kilgore Texas under the direction of her friend Keith Wilkerson (Debbie). She had written several worship songs which she often performed during church services. Debbie also served as church secretary for several churches she attended through the years, including Parkview Baptist Church. She possessed the heart of a servant and a mind for organization.

She was known throughout the community for her kindness, many times providing doughnuts for the police, firemen, emergency workers and others that served the community in Laurel and Jones County. Debbie was often the first to volunteer for duties in the church including Bible School director and coordinator of special events. She also worked behind the scenes flower arranging, performing yard work, and ensuring that the Lord's house was stocked and ready for services. Debbie wanted no recognition for her service.

The family wishes to thank ComfortCare Hospice and South Central Regional Medical Center staff and

leadership who, along with Dr. Alison Redding and staff, provided excellent care for her in her last

months of life.

Because of Debbie's love of the Word of God, the family asks that memorial donations be made to
