Obituary

Deborah Elaine Hartfield, 70 of SoSo, MS passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, December 25, 1952, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:00AM at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, MS. Burial will follow in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, MS. Bro. Jimmy Hood will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

Deborah was retired with 18 years of service with United Blood Services in Laurel. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny E. "Doc" Hartfield; father, Barry Maxey; mother, Alice Whigham Moss; sisters, Tina Williams, Becky Davis.

Survivors include her son, John Wesley Hartfield (Mary); daughter, Lisa Hartfield Powell (Brad); grandchildren, Morgan Powell Sims (Chris), Aaron Bradford Powell, Matthew John Hartfield and Andrew Christopher Hartfield; brother, Frankie Maxey; sister, Terry Taylor; great grandchild, Amelia Jayne Sims.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hartfield, Aaron Powell, Bryan Powell, Patrick Davis, and Chris Sims.
