Delma Langley Dupree, 79, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her residence in Taylorsville, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, December 22, 1938 in Wayne County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church in the Mineral Springs Community of Taylorsville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM at New Bethel Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kelly Tingle and Bro. Delma and late husband Gerald were local produce farmers and owner/operators of Duprees Grocery in the Mineral Springs Community. They were known for their fresh produce sold at the Farmers Market in Jackson, MS and for their annual production of Old Tyme Cane Syrup which was featured in the Mississippi Magazine. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Baptist Church and was dearly beloved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by Gerald Dupree (Husband), Mack Langley (Father), Zell Langley (Mother), Delone Dupree (Son), Helen Rhodes (Sister), Ann Hinton (Sister), Dolly Yelverton (Sister).
Survivors include Vivian Johnson (Mack) (Daughter), Lisa Dupree (Daughter), Jason Glenn (Grandson), Justin Glenn (Grandson), Charlie Nichols (Eleina) (Grandson), Kayla Sullivan (Matt) (Granddaughter), Hunter Dupree (Ashleigh) (Grandson), Bryce Dupree (Grandson), Lucas Glenn (Great-grandson), Brooklynn Glenn (Great-granddaughter), Taylor Glenn (Great-granddaughter), Kollins Glenn (Great-granddaughter), Taven Nichols (Great-grandson), Kanen Nichols (Great-grandson), RC Delone Sullivan (Great-grandson), Stella Rae Dupree (Great-granddaughter), Hazel Blakeney (Sister).
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Stringer, Bruce Bankston, Danny Rhodes, Tony Duckworth, Scott Vanderford, and Jeff Webb.
