Dorothy "Dot" Kilgore, 93, of Taylorsville, MS, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Covington County Hospital in Collins, MS. She was born Sunday, April 11, 1926 in Collins, MS.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, MS. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, MS with burial to follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Dot was a member of Sunset Baptist Church in Collins, MS. She served as a Sunday School teacher there for over 40 years. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. She was a sweet, wonderful woman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Taylor Kilgore; parents, Melton Lee Dickens and Bertha L. Dickens; sons, Jimmy Kilgore, George Kilgore, Bobby Kilgore, and Shermon Walker and great granddaughter, Lana Blount.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Kilgore, Taylorsville, MS and Sandra Walker, Collins, MS; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother; 4 sisters and daughter-in-law, Alene Kilgore, Petal, MS.

Pallbearers will be Mike Walker, Kevin Walker, Darrel Blount, Terry Jones, John Jones and Timmy Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Baily Walker, Boston Hollingsworth, Jerry Glenn, Mike Ambrosier, Joe Lack and Ben Stringer.
