Dorothy Elene Pitts, 89 of Laurel, MS passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Laurelwood Assisted Living in Laurel, MS. She was born Sunday, September 2, 1934, in Wayne County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Burial will follow in Myrick Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Bro. Scott Davis and Bro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Reginald C. Pitts of 61 years; parents Arna Brewer and Myrtle Guthrie Brewer; son, Shelton Ray Pitts; brother, Donald Brewer; father-in-law, John Mabry Pitts; mother-in-law, Fannie Pitts.

Survivors include her son, Roger Pitts (Cindy) of Laurel, MS; daughter, Brenda Pittman (Fred); grandson, Chase Pitts (Alesha); granddaughters, Jennifer Hollingsworth (Eddie Robuck), Emily Meadows, Rebecca Hawk (Josh), and Shellaina Eason.
