Elizabeth Williams, 88, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Born on October 20, 1936, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, Elizabeth was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She was a woman of faith, loving her Lord and Savior.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, H. Melvin Williams, and Darrell Russell; her father, Fagan Cooley; her mother, Leander Lofton Cooley; her brother, Mack Arthur Cooley; and her sisters, Betty Weaver and Ruby McInnis.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Sharp (Herschel), Linda Mills (Mark), Judith Parker, and Janet Kittrell (David); her grandchildren, Ricky Sharp (Stephanie), Lorrie Sims (Jamie), Steven Mills (Lauren), Stephanie Collier (Christopher), Michael Mills (Vi), Cassie Higginbotham (Andrew), Christina Welch (Adam), Brian Kittrell (Ashley), Christopher Kittrell (Corinne), and Kimberley Parks (James); along with 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the same location. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Clara, Mississippi. Bro. Roy Crouch and Bro. Matt Olsen will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, with honorary pallbearers being her great-grandsons.
