Ernest Lamar Baggett or Laurel, MS passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, he was born on Monday, October 15, 1945, to Ernest Walter and Margaret Baggett.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ernest was a paratrooper, infantry, and Green Beret. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ida Brewer; mother, Margaret Baggett; father, Ernest Walter Baggett; brother, James Baggett; sister, Henry Etta Baggett.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Baggett Stevens, Laurel, MS; sister-in-law, Debbie Baggett Portland, Oregon, and a host of nieces and nephews, Richard Riley, Richton, MS and his dear friend, Kenny Graves of Laurel, MS.

There will be a graveside memorial service held at 11:00 AM on October 22 2022, at West Salem Baptist church Cemetery in Green County , MS.
