Franklin D. Walker, 87, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Monday, November 7, 1932 in Iuka, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Summerland Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Summerland Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in Summerland Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Harold Floyd and Bro. Frank was a member of Summerland Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was in the US Army. He was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Teddy Laffette and Ora Beatrice Walker, grandchild, Todd Jernigan, brothers, Harold Walker, R.D. Walker, Melvin Walker, sisters, Beatrice Vess, Janice Ervin.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Laverne Walker, son, Darrell Walker (Denice), daughters, Shelia Graham (John), Melissa Walker, grandchildren, Maggie Graham, McKenzy Walker, sisters, Olene Jones, Rachel Robinson and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Robertson, Rickey Welch, Brian Welch, Gary Walker, Randy Walker, and Michael Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class, 2 special neighbors and friends, Joe Hulon and Lewis Odom, Thanks Buddies.
