Garland Edgar Rogers, Jr, 62, affectionately known as Eddie, passed from his earthly home on 11/25/2023.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. The burial will then take place in Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Dr. John Helveston will officiate. Eddie was born, 12/09/1960 to Charlotte Hudson Robine and Garland Edgar Rogers, Sr.

Eddie was raised in Laurel by his mom and dad, Charlotte and Charles Robine Jr. He graduated from R. H. Watkins High School in 1978 and went to work in the family business, Robine and Welch Machine. Eddie was a faithful employee there for over 40 years. He found his passion in his work as a machinist. Eddie loved his work family.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Hudson Robine; niece, Heather Brena Rogers; Grandparents, Charles Robine, Sr. and Glennie Bush Robine, Howard Hudson Sr. and Rosalie Price Hudson, G.G. Rogers, Aline Dooley Rogers and Evelyn Rogers.

He is survived by one son, Garland Aaron Rogers of Taylor, MS; Biological father, Garland E. Rogers, Sr.; Dad and Stepmom, Charles Robine, Jr. (MaryJo); Brother, Charles Lang Rogers (Laurie); Sisters, Krista Dawn Robine, Alicia Rogers Taylor (Jeff); Nephews, Charles Lang "Charlie" Rogers Jr. (Leslie), Brady Taylor, Hunter Williams (Breianna); Nieces, Nicole Crawford (Jayson), K'la Dawn Robine, Keely Rayne Skipper; Great Nephews, Jaxon Rogers and Jonah Skipper; Great Nieces, Landyn Rogers, Skylar Williams, Hadley Bright and Novalee Skipper; Uncles, Charles Hudson, Howard Hudson, Robert Rogers (Charlotte), Roy "Jimmy" Rogers, Max Boler, Johnny Robine (Arlene), Joe Robine (Pat); Aunts, Dixie Dennis, Martha Hudson Cook, Jean Ates, Catherine Rucker (Frankie) and Marie Rayner (John). Eddie is also survived by a host of Cousins and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Steve Ezell, Jason Jefcoat, Scottie Lawrence, Adam Welch, Freddie Welch, and Roger Welch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Max Boler, Johnny Robine, Joe Robine and all past and present employees of Robine and Welch Machine.

First Baptist Church of Laurel, MS.
