Garland E. Miles, 79, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully at his home the morning of Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. The burial will follow in Indian Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Richard Clark will officiate.

Garland was born July 20,1943, in Laurel, MS, to T. L. and Mary Alice Miles. He was a devoted Christian and member of Indian Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and time spent with his family. Garland worked for many years at Headrick Sign Company, and later as a poultry grower for Sanderson Farms. His years working from home allowed him opportunity to spend time with his family, community, and church. Garland was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Alice and T. L. Miles.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bobbie Hill Miles; his daughter, Samantha Miles Huff (Jim); his son-by-choice, Jimmy Weaver (Wanda); his brother, Issiah Miles (Linda); grandchildren, Ben Huff (Nola), Jessica Norris, Jacob Weaver (MicKayla), Miles Huff, Matthew Huff, Mia Grace Huff, and great grandchild, Raylan Huff.

Pallbearers will be Jay Smith, Kimble Holifield, Mike Donald, Rod Tolbert, Joel Sullivan, and Joey Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Men's Two Sunday School Class.
