Obituary

Gary Allen Trudeau Sr., 70, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Tuesday April 6, 2021, at Care Center of Laurel in Laurel, MS He was born Monday, May 29, 1950, in Atlanta, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel with burial to follow in Ovett Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and watching John Wayne movies. He was a truck driver that traveled all over the US. Over all his favorite time was sitting on the porch and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Bettie Joe Trudeau I; granddaughter, Karina Starr Mendez Trudeau.

Survivors include his children, Tammy Michelle Knight (Richard McCray), Shannon Nicole Trudeau, and Gary Allen Trudeau II (Jodi); grandchildren, Emily Hodge (Ethan), Isabella Knight, Garrison Trudeau Knight, and Jonathan "Jon Jon" Knight; great grandchildren, Madelyn Hodge, and Taylen Allen Williams; brothers, Michael Trudeau, Calvin Trudeau Jr., and Timothy Trudeau; sisters, Bettie "Sissy" Taylor (Jerry), Judi Pruitt (Edward), and Dessi Winder.

Pallbearers will be Garrison Knight, Jeffery Thompson, Michael Harp, Allen Trudeau II, Dalton Garner, and Jimmy Durfy
