George Allen Spradley, 65 of Laurel, MS passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, in Laurel, MS. He was born Thursday, September 13, 1956, in Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.
Rev. Kenny McMinn will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.
George attended Calhoun Elementary and West Jones High School where he played football as #16 and loved the Mustangs until he met the love of his life. He worked hard to provide for his family and spent his time enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid hunter of squirrels, rabbit and coons and loved to listen to the dogs run. He was brought up to love the Lord and was a man after God's own heart. He never missed an opportunity to share his faith and testimony. He declared his greatest blessing was witnessing his grandchildren proclaim Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence 'Bootsie' Campbell and Elsie Raye Lampkin Spradley, daughter, Tiffany LeAnn Spradley, brother, Clarence Ray Spradley.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Leanetta Ann Harris Spradley, son, Thomas Allen Spradley (Amy), grandchildren, Dalton Spradley, Cole Spradley, Kara Spradley, Abby Spradley, niece, Maegan Spradley Bumpus (Neal), great-nieces, Nori and Rosaleigh, great-nephew Waylon, mother-in-law, Mary Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Spradley, Cole Spradley, Cledus Stringer, Wayne Cobb, Brian Holifield, and Brad Holifield.
