Gerald L. Walters, 83 of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away Monday June 29, 2026, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born on October 9, 1942 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 6, 2026 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, Mississippi, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with burial at Lake Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Holder and Bro. Dave Moran will officiate. Gerald worked for Clarkco Oilfield services for over 40 years. He loved the outdoors, gardening when he was able too. He had a love for Christ and family was everything to him.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life for 59 years his wife, Nell Walters; parents, Jesse Lloyd and Erma Lee Strickland; brother, Kenneth Walters.

Survivors include his sons, Stephen Walters (Rachel), Chad Walters (Marlana); 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Walters (Summer), Lexi Walters, Emily Walters, Austin Walters; great-grandchildren, Kason Walters; siblings, Michael Walters and Clifton Herrington (Rita); cherished sister/cousin, Marcia Clark.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
