Greg Byrd, 60, of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at South Central Regional Medical Center. He was born Monday, March 6, 1961 in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home and the burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. Bro. Bill Myers will officiate. Greg was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Greg owned and operated his own poultry farm since 2005. He was also a faithful member of Mill Creek Church. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Byrd.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Byrd, his brother, Craig Byrd, his niece, Raegan Byrd (Seth), his nephew, Richie Lopez (Harleigh) and a special friend, Rhonda Ballard.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Robinson, Ethan Pitts, Tate Hicks, Mike Shirley, Jody Singleton and Steve Pace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Conley Stroud, Ferrell Stroud, Mike Jones, Billy Livingston and Charles Hogg.
