Helen Loftin, 87, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at her residence. Born on May 9, 1938, in Laurel, Mississippi, Helen lived a full and cherished life surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Mrs. Helen Loftin retired from Jones County School System as a Bus Driver and Cafeteria Worker after 26 ½ years. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ for many years. She enjoyed reading her BIBLE, The Laurel Leader Call, and watching WDAM News 7. She enjoyed being with her faithful and loving family.

She is survived by her son, Randall 'Randy' Loftin of Laurel, MS; daughters, Sherrie Parnell and her husband Jimmy of Shubuta, MS, and Deborah 'Debbie' Brady and her husband Bruce of Laurel, MS. Helen also leaves behind her sister, Florence Musgrove and her husband Paul, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Parnell, Kristen Loftin, Christopher Loftin and his wife Meagan, and Joshua Loftin. Her great-grandchild, Hazel Loftin, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, will fondly remember her.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, L.S. Loftin; her parents, J.P. Clark and Eunice Jones Clark; her brother, Leon Clark Sr. and his wife Merlene; her sisters, Cordia Stringer and her husband Myron, Trudie Mae Parker and her husband Harold, and Lorese Daughdrill and her husband Clayton; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Parnell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with Bro. Harold Floyd and Bro. Danny Stringer officiating. Burial will take place at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.

Pallbearers will include Jimmy Parnell, Christopher Loftin, Randy Loftin, Scotty Lawrence, Joshua Loftin, and Randy Scitzs. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Brady Sr. and Issac Minchew.
