Jack E. Allen, 85 of Laurel, Mississippi died Monday, March 5th, 2018 at Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, February 15, 1933 in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro. Kenny McMinn will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342. Jack loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. In his younger day he was called cowboy and loved driving big rigs all across the US. He was affectionately known as "Candy man" by his friends and caretakers at Jones County Rest Home. He leaves behind many friends and family. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Allen Sr. and Theresa Bloom and two brothers Jerry Allen and Billy Allen. Survivors include his daughters, Margaret Lyna Boatwright, Cindy Ramirez (Miguel) and Esther Allen; sons, Jack Daniel Allen (Brittany) and Ricky Allen (Karen); special friend Karen Dearman Walters; 22 grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren.
