Jeremiah Dean "Jake" Jefcoat, 42, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Sunday, July 18, 2021 in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Monday, November 6, 1978 in Laurel, Mississippi.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church. Bro. Bill Blair will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342
Jake was a graduate of West Jones Class of 1997 and Jones County Junior College. 4 years at Southern MS, graduated with honors. Master's degree at MS State for 2 years in Sports Medicine.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.C. and Mildred Houston, Hershel and Helen Rhea Jefcoat, step-grandmother, Edna Welborn Houston: uncle, Bubba Houston, aunt, Vicky Houston Prince.
Survivors include his parents, Claude 'Doug' and Geraldine Jefcoat, brother, Jason Jefcoat (Misti), niece, Anna Grace Jefcoat, nephew, Houston Chase Jefcoat, aunt, Caroline Dunaway (Fred), aunt, Linda Young, aunt, Brenda Boone (Roger), aunt, Cheryl Loftin (Don), uncle, Kenny Jefcoat (Bobbie) and a host of cousins.
