James Michael Brewer, 43, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Thursday, April 18th, 2019 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born Monday, January 5, 1976 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS and again on Tuesday April 23, 2019 from 10:00AM until funeral time at the Jesus Name Church of Ellisville in Ellisville, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in McFarland Cemetery. Pastor David Williams will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342

James attended school at Jesus Name Christian Academy. He was a hard worker, specializing in constructions trades, primarily brick laying.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Ariana Brewer and his step-father, William Michael Gray; grandparents, Ina Marie Clements, Arlouine Brewer and Cecil Boyd Brewer; uncles, Billy Ray, Neal, Greg and Joe Clements; aunt, Marilyn Graves and cousin, Kevin Clements.

Survivors include his children, James Michael Brewer Jr. (Baileigh Dougherty), Sharon, MS and Aryanna "Cissy" Brewer, Laurel, MS; parents, Michael Lamar Brewer, Laurel, MS and Sandra C. Gray, Laurel, MS; siblings, John Clements, New Orleans, LA, Melissa Durfee (James), Pendorff, MS, Lisa Williams, Laurel, MS; grandchildren, Asher Cole Brewer and Aaydn Jax Dougherty; grandfather, Bill Clements (Alice), Pineville, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Brian Brewer, Patrick Douglas, Ethan Williams, Mark Henderson, Allan Tucker and James Durfee.
