James Thomas Kirkley, 70, of Laurel, Ms. passed away on Saturday August 24, 2024, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Ms. He was born on May 10, 1954, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

James is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Joy Kirkley of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

He is survived by his daughters, Jamie Lynne Kirkley of Pensacola, Florida and Ashley (Ronnie) Jones of Dallas Texas; his beloved grandchildren, Jace and Brooklynn Jones; brothers, Billy Joe Kirkley (Lisa), Douglas Kirkley (Johnny), and Michael Kirkley (Shanna) all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; several nieces, nephews, and Lifelong friends, Rickey and Nancy Skelton, David and Debra Hicks, and Jim Deerman of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date with the spreading of his ashes on James' favorite river in Tuscaloosa; where he grew up fishing.
