Janice McLaurin, 79, of Mobile, AL, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. Born on December 5, 1945, in Dothan, Alabama, Janice lived a life full of love and family.

Janice was the most precious and giving person there ever was. To know her is to love her. She cherished her family so much. She will be missed by so many. We will cherish all memories with her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shelton McLauin, her daughters Wanda Mills and April Rickett, her father Joe Mills, her mother Rosa Lee Mistledine Mills, and her brother Denny Mills.

Janice is survived by her son, Michael Howell and his wife Vicki; her brothers Jerry Mills and his wife Patsy, Bobby Mills and his wife Helen; her sisters Mary Jordan and Joann Dumning; her grandchildren Michael Howell and his wife Katie, Cassidy Cain and her husband Cowen, Christopher Howell and his wife Katelyn, and Brittany Hogancamp; her great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, with Bro. Joe Watts officiating. Burial will take place at Sharon Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be her cherished grandchildren.
