Jerry Lee Ezell Jr., 57 of Soso, MS passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS from health issues which were further complicated by Covid. He was born Thursday, October 13, 1966 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

Lee worked as a rental equipment salesman at RSC for 16 years. He was a gentle soul with a big heart. He loved his son, Jeremie, and always enjoyed cheering him on at West Jones High School sporting events. He loved fishing, spending time with friends and family. Lee was a talented cook, and especially fond of grilling with the guys of Country Cooks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Ezell Sr.; sister, Kathryn Hope Blackledge.

Survivors include his son, Jeremie Ezell; mother, Brenda Harris Ezell; brothers, Greg Ezell (Carol) and Jason Ezell (Jennifer); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
