J. F. "Pete" Parrish, 86 of Laurel, MS passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, July 2, 1936, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 1:30PM until 3:00PM at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 3:00PM at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in Indian Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Dr. Richard Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Green Parrish; parents, Frasier and Olene Knight Parrish; sister, Jean Shelton.

Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Welch (Freddie); grandchildren, Michelle Welch Stockman (Chris) and Melanie Welch Little (Dalton); sister, Judy Harrod (Larry); great grandchildren, Caitlyn Stockman, Cayleigh Stockman, Carson Stockman, Woodsen Little and Rayson Little; nephews, Guy Shelton (Pam), Scott Shelton (Dedra), Eric Shelton (Dawn) and Ryan Harrod (Beth); nieces, Regina Harrod Morris (Donald) and Renae Phillips.

Pallbearers will be Guy Shelton, Scott Shelton, Eric Shelton, Ryan Harrod, Chris Stockman, Dalton Little, and Adam Welch.
