Jody Jason Craft, 43, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Friday, November 29, 1974 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Stringer, MS and the Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Jody was passionate about many things. His love for the outdoors was surpassed only by his love for watching his boys play any sport for his beloved Tartars. Hunting and riding 4-wheelers with his Daddy and his boys was his favorite pass time. He leaves behind a loving family that will miss him every single day, finding peace in knowing that he waits for us in paradise with his Heavenly Father.

Survivors include Melissa Craft (Wife), Joe Craft (Doris) (Father), Jane Craft (Mother), Matthew Craft (Son), Adam Craft (Son), Kim Kimbo' Craft Horn (Don) (Sister), Renee Lowery (Step-sister), Nancy Lowery Lyons (Step-sister), Susan Lowery Sullivan (Step-sister), Melissa Lowery (Step-sister), Riley Townsend (Marline) (Father-in-law and Mother-in-Law), Jeremy Townsend (Sarah) (Brother-in-law), Aaron Townsend (Laura) (Brother-in-law), and a host of nieces and nephews who adored him.

Pallbearers will be Brien Blakeney, Gary Blakeney, Ken Blakeney, Jack Dukes, Joe Dukes, Jared Beard, Jeremy Townsend, and Aaron Townsend.

Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Chandler and Bill Chandler.
