Joel “Rusty” Wayne Jefcoat, 68 of Soso, MS passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Friday, Decemeber 20, 1957, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Big Creek Baptist Church in Soso, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, MS. with burial to follow in Big Creek Cemetery in Soso, Mississippi. Bro. Rusty is preceded in death by his wife Debra Lynette “Net” Jefcoat, Parents; Glaston F. Jefcoat and Eloise Waltman Jefcoat.

Survivors include a host of Cousins and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Channing Parker, David Knight, Matt Sumrall, James Easterling, Kevin Jefcoat and Jason Jefcoat from the Fuller Lodge.
