Johnny Ted Flood 80, of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away Monday May 25, 2026, at his residence. Ted was born August 9, 1945, in Jones County, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 28,2026 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be at 2:30PM, 2026, at Matthews Cemetery in Laurel, MS with burial to follow. Bro. PJ Weeks will officiate. Ted was a member of First Baptist Soso. He loved his church family very much. He enjoyed playing golf and a graduate of Ole Miss where he received his Master’s Degree in business. He loved spending time with his grand-children and great-grands and will be greatly missed.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Henley and Nellie Flood; sister, Doris Segrest; brother, Jay Flood Sr.; nephew Tommy Segrest; granddaughter, Jacee Butler and great-grandson, Brayson Jerkins.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Juanice Flood; children, Johnny Wiggs (Wendy), Nedra Crocker (Randy), Grecia Butler (Jason); grandchildren, Brittany Carney.(Patrick), Ashley Griffin (Ty), Jenna Hines  (Cameron), Will Crocker, Candace Graham, Wes Crocker (Tiffany), Ryan Graham, Jocee Jerkins (Slater), Austin Butler (Aaliyah); great-grandchildren, RJ Carney, Levi Carney,  Lennon Griffin, Bryson Crocker, Caiden Crocker, Paisleigh Crocker, Madalyn Crocker, Oaklynn Crocker, Nova Rose Jerkins, and Sevyn.

Pallbearers will be Jason Butler, Randy Crocker, Will Crocker, Wes Crocker, Ryan Graham and Bryson Crocker.

Honorary pallbearer will be Caiden Crocker.
