Obituary

Rev. Johnny R. Watts, 89, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Sunday, October 21st, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, October 27, 1928 in Smith County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church and Burial will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Harold Floyd and Bro. Ken Riley will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342.

He served his Lord for over 50 years all over Mississippi. Including Scotland Baptist Church, Good Hope Baptist Church in Columbia, Sharon Baptist Church, Hope Well, Berean Baptist Church in Soso, Broadmoor Baptist Church and West Hills in Meridian. He Loved his family and church Families. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by Frank Watts (Father), Ima Belle Watts (Mother), Leon Watts (Brother), Charles Watts (Brother), Eugene Watts (Brother), Dolphus Watts (Brother), Beatrice Cook (Sister), Inez Harper (Sister), Clemmie Nobles (Sister), Floy Waldvogel (Sister).
Survivors include his wife of 70 years Annie Watts; son, Dr. J. Michael Watts (Tanya); grand daughter, Tara Hulgan (Dr. Coty); great-granddaughter, Mary Garner Hulgan; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Bynum, Bobby Murphy, Bobby Hill, Randy Hill, Arthur Broadhead and Dal Williamson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Bynum and Jeffery Bynum.
