Joyce Marie Flynt, 77, of Seminary, MS, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. Born on February 6, 1948, in Wayne County, Mississippi, Joyce was a beloved member of her community and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Flynt; her son, Ken Flynt; her daughter, Rashelle Flynt; her parents, Leland and Wilma Wooten Perry; her brothers, Dee, Hershal, James, and Chuck Perry; her sister, Wawiese Wright; her great grandchild, Macie Nicholson; and her son-in-law, Mike Nicholson.

Joyce is survived by her loving daughters, Marie Johnson and her husband Wayne, and Liz Nicholson. She leaves behind cherished memories with her grandchildren, Tiffiney Johnson, Zachary Johnson and his wife Paxton, Hillary Johnson and her husband Tyler, Friday Nicholson and his wife Anna, and Ashleigh Nicholson and her husband Chad. Her legacy continues through her great grandchildren, Ethan Parish, Kuper Parish, Jerzi Steward, Wrynn Steward, Slate Johnson, Luke Chandler, Skyla Walters, Aubree Nelson, Piper Nelson, Brinlee Nelson, Ryder Nelson, Mallorie Nicholson, Trace Nicholson, Paizleigh Pineda, and Paxton Pineda.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Antioch Pentecostal Church, located at 89 Antioch Drive. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same church in Laurel, MS, with Rev. Joshua Pierce officiating. Joyce will be laid to rest at Lott Cemetery in Ellisville, MS. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.

Joyce will be remembered for her deep faith and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
