Julene Kay Sherman, 43, of Stringer, MS entered her Heavenly home Monday, February 12, 2024.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. The burial will then take place at Union Line Cemetery in Soso, Mississippi. Bro. Darren Dickens and Bro. Steve Holloway will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342
Julene was born September 19, 1980, Laurel, MS to William Braxton Sherman and Jeanne Sherman. She was a graduate of Stringer High School and a member of Fair Ridge Baptist Church. Julene was a devoted mother to her son Eli, whom she called her Hero.
She was preceded in death by her father William Braxton Sherman, Paternal Grandparents Braxton William and Olliean Sherman, Maternal Grandparents Donnie C. and Nettie Smith,
Aunts Sherry Lynn Pierce and Mary Lynn Smith.
She is survived by her son, Eli Ervin of Stringer, MS; Mother, Jeanne Sherman Windham (Wayne) of Laurel, MS; Brothers, Thomas Daniel Sherman (Gina), Robby Wilson Sherman of Laurel, MS; Aunts and Uncles, Mary Ann Ashley (Bobby), Linda Lee Hull (Buddy),
Jo Yarbrough (Earl), David Smith, Randy Smith (Janet), Bryon Smith, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She is also survived by the father of their son Sam Ervin (Lindsey), Very Special friend that loved her and cared for her Anthony Sasser, and extended family Ken and Wanda Ervin.
Pallbearers will be Casey Bynum, Sam Ervin, Braxton Hull, Ricky Hull, Robby Sherman, Tommy Sherman.
Honorary Pallbearers Bobby Ashley, Buddy Hull, David Smith, Earl Yarbrough, Randy Smith, Bryon Smith.
