Lana "Mama June" Staples, 69, of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, July 19, 1952 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel and the Burial will follow in Jack Staples Cemetery. Bro. Richard Wallace will officiate. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jack Staples, daughter, Shanda Peden (Bubba), sons, Brandon Staples, Trea Staples (Brooke), grandchildren, Trace Wells, Bailey Wells, Morgan Freeman, Tait Wells, Trea Graham Staples, Khloee Staples, great-grandchildren, Raiden Staples, Kylee Grace Wells, Madyson Hunter, Zoe Freeman, Bentley, mother, Celeste Graham, brother, Randy Graham (Elaine), sister, Sylvia Graham (Tommy).

Pallbearers will be Franklin Spurlin, Mark Graham, Jonathan Staples, Jacob Staples, Jerod Staples and Garrick Staples.
