Katherine D. Walker, 75, of Laurel, MS passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at her residence in Laurel, MS. She was born Tuesday, January 27, 1948 in Vossburg, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place in Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Heidelberg, Mississippi. Bro. Bo Sykes will officiate. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mark Holifield and her second husband Larry Walker; son, Dennis Walker; father, Tobe Stanley (Retha); mother, Louise Nard Stanley; brothers, Pete Stanley (Lucy), Robert Hand Stanley (Avis), George Stanley and Hyman Stanley (Ruby); sisters, Lena James (Jessie), Margaret Koontz (Pete) and Helen Stanley.

Survivors include her sons, Eddie Holifield (Ashley), Drs. Michael Holifield (Beckey);  daughter, Sheri H. Thornton (Alan);  grandchildren, Markas Holifield (Taylor), Megan Holifield, Marlie Holifield, Tori  Holifield, Colton Holifield (Jade Hall), Ethan Holifield, Tyler Thornton (Katie Strickland), Peyton Holifield, Anna Holifield, Abigail Holifield, Joseph Walker, Ashlynn Walker, Madison Walker and Dawson Holifield;  great-grandchildren, Kolyns Holifield, Levi Thornton, and Grace Smith.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Thornton, Markas Holifield, Colton Holifield, Dawson Holifield, Ethan Holifield, Peyton Holifield, and Joseph Walker.
