Kenny Marvin Van Rossom, 79, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born on June 13, 1947, in Meridian, MS.

Kenny served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam and Philippines for 4 years. He retired from AT&T Telephone Company in Mobile after 35 years. He was also a member of Cottage Hills Baptist Church in Mobile, Al. Kenny was an avid Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed all kinds of electronics.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge and Katherine Van Rossum.

Kenny is survived by his family, including his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis Van Rossum; daughter, Jacquelyn Suzanne Houston (Bradford); son, Kyle Michael Van Rossum; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 1:00PM at Shubuta Cemetery in Shubuta, MS. Dr. Luke Johnson will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.
